@mothershipsg: Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu outlined Singapore’s haze contingency plans in a statement to the media on Oct. 10, warning that the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) could exceed 200 and enter the “very unhealthy” range. N95 masks will be distributed to eligible Singaporeans when the 24-hour PSI exceeds 200. Haze shelters with air-conditioning and air purifiers will also be activated in community spaces. Fu said she has been in touch with Indonesia’s Minister of Environment Jumhur Hidayat, offering Singapore’s support and expressing appreciation for his efforts to contain the forest fires. She also expressed support for regional discussions on cooperation to tackle haze, adding that Singapore stands ready to assist where it can. #mothershipnews
