PREP TIME:20 MINUTES MINS/ CHILL TIME: 2 HOURS HRS INGREDIENTS ▢ 8 ounces package cream cheese softened ▢ 1½ cup creamy peanut butter ▢ 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract ▢ 1¼ cup powdered sugar sifted ▢ ¾ cup Reese’s pieces candies ▢ 2 sleeves graham crackers broken into individual pieces (You can also use vanilla wafers, hard pretzels, mini Hershey’s bars, apple slices, broken pieces of sugar cones (my favorite) or broken pieces of sugar cone bowls.) INSTRUCTIONS Using either a stand mixer, or a medium size mixing bowl and a handheld mixer on medium-high speed, beat together the softened cream cheese, creamy peanut butter and vanilla extract for 1 ½ – 2 minutes until smooth. 8 ounces package cream cheese, 1½ cup creamy peanut butter, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Add the sifted powdered sugar and continue mixing for another 1 – 1 ½ minutes. 1¼ cup powdered sugar Measure out 2 pieces of plastic wrap in a crisscross pattern. Spoon the peanut butter mixture into the center of the plastic wrap and shape into a ball. Tightly wrap the peanut butter ball in the plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Just before serving, unwrap the peanut butter ball and place in the center of a serving plate. Lightly press the Reese’s pieces onto the surface of the peanut butter ball. Arrange the graham cracker pieces around the decorated peanut butter ball. ¾ cup Reese’s pieces candies , 2 sleeves graham crackers broken into individual pieces JENN’S NOTES Tips: Use softened cream cheese so it mixes in smoothly without lumps. I stick with regular creamy peanut butter. A runny natural peanut butter separates from its oil and the ball has a hard time holding its shape. If the mixture seems especially soft, chill it longer instead of adding more powdered sugar. Go by firmness, not the clock, and give it another hour or overnight if it needs it. You can add mini chocolate chips to the peanut butter mixture before chilling it in the refrigerator. You can make the peanut butter ball a day ahead. Press on the Reese’s Pieces close to serving. Storage: Store the peanut butter ball covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, and store leftover graham crackers in a Ziploc bag so they don’t go stale. You can freeze the undecorated peanut butter ball for up to 1 month. Wrap it in wax paper and then place it in a Ziploc bag, and let it thaw in the refrigerator overnight before decorating and serving.
