I was Hoodwinked at the Flea Market… 📸 Looking for cameras is never “easy”. Sometimes you’re lied to. The dealer told me this camera worked…. He just didn’t say it had a lens error. What would you have done? Flea market camera finds always hit different—especially when you never know if you’re about to uncover a hidden gem or a total dud. Today was one of those days digging through bins of old film cameras, vintage lenses, and early digital point-and-shoots (digicams). You’ll see everything from classic 35mm film cameras to forgotten compact shooters that are suddenly trending again. I always keep an eye out for iconic brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Pentax, Leica, and Minolta. You never know when something like a Canon AE-1, Nikon FM2, Olympus Stylus Epic (Mju II), or even a Contax T2 might pop up. Even older rangefinders or SLR cameras with solid glass can be worth grabbing just for the lenses alone—especially vintage 50mm primes, fast f/1.8 or f/1.4 lenses, and unique manual focus glass. Digicams are making a huge comeback too—models like the Canon PowerShot series, Sony Cyber-shot, Nikon Coolpix, and Fujifilm FinePix are everywhere right now. People love that early digital look, CCD sensors, and the straight-out-of-camera aesthetic. Half the time, flea markets are overpriced, but every once in a while you find something crazy—whether it’s a rare lens, a fully working film camera, or a cheap digicam that shoots like a dream. That’s the thrill of thrifting cameras, hunting for vintage gear, and building a kit without breaking the bank. If you’re into photography, film cameras, vintage lenses, or retro digital cameras, flea markets, thrift stores, and garage sales are still some of the best places to look. #fleamarket #thrifted #thriftwithme #garagesale #estatesale
