I grew up with russian tv, movies, music, internet and I just realized all of these minorities were NEVER even seen, never represented in the russian cultural context. It never even crossed my mind that all these nations existed. I only learned about them as an adult, because I researched this topic. All these people were completely erased. The world has no idea most of them exist and most russians probably don't know about them either.
