@theoriginalsinpodcast: Abuse doesn’t always begin with physical violence. Sometimes it looks like constantly asking where someone is. Deciding who they can talk to. Controlling their money. Checking their phone. Cutting them off from friends and family. Making threats when they try to set boundaries. One behavior might be dismissed as jealousy or being “overprotective.” But when these behaviors become a pattern designed to limit another person’s independence, choices and freedom, it can be coercive control. Recognizing these patterns matters because abuse can exist long before there is a visible injury. Control is not care. Fear is not love. #TCS911Media #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth #DVAM #CoerciveControl #KnowTheSigns
