There is a kind of loneliness that hurts more than being completely alone. It’s when the person you care about is still in your life, but somehow you feel like you’re losing them little by little. You talk to them, but the conversations don't feel the same anymore. You wait for their messages. You notice the shorter replies. You notice when they stop asking about your day. You notice when the effort changes. And the hardest part is pretending that you don't notice. I’ve learned that sometimes you can miss someone who is only a few words away. You can have someone to call and still feel like you have nobody to talk to. You can love someone deeply and still go to bed wondering whether they feel the same way about you. And that kind of loneliness can make even the strongest person quietly break down. There have been nights when I didn't need anything from anyone. I just wanted someone to ask me, “Are you okay?” Not because I wanted attention. Not because I wanted someone to feel sorry for me. I just wanted to feel like somebody genuinely cared about what was happening inside my heart. I've spent so much time being strong for other people that sometimes I forget what it feels like to have someone be strong for me. Someone I can come home to emotionally. Someone I can tell, “Today was hard,” without feeling like I'm bothering them. Someone who notices when my smile is hiding something. I don't want to keep pretending that I don't need that. I do. I want love that feels like companionship, not confusion. I want someone who doesn't make me question whether I'm important to her. Someone who doesn't disappear emotionally and then expect me to act like nothing changed. Because when I love, I don't know how to do it halfway. I give my time. I give my loyalty. I give my attention. I give pieces of myself that I don't easily give to people. And maybe that's why being disappointed hurts me so much. Because I don't just lose the person. I lose the future I imagined with them. I lose the conversations I thought we'd have. The places I imagined we'd go. The little moments I thought we'd share. And then I'm left sitting with memories of something that may never become what I hoped it would be. That's the part nobody sees. They see a man moving forward. They don't see the nights when his mind becomes too loud. They don't see the moments when he misses having someone who genuinely feels like home. I don't want to spend the rest of my life wondering if someone is slowly falling out of love with me. I don't want to chase reassurance. I don't want to beg for communication. I don't want to compete with silence. I want something where two people can be vulnerable with each other without fear. Where I can trust her, and she can trust me. Where distance doesn't destroy connection. Where busy days don't become excuses to stop caring. Where we both understand that love isn't only about beautiful words. It's about showing up. It's about consistency. It's about choosing each other, especially on the ordinary days when there is nothing exciting happening. Maybe my heart is guarded now. Maybe I don't trust as easily as I used to. But underneath all those walls is still a man who wants to love deeply. A man who wants to be someone's safe place while finally having someone who feels like his. I don't need someone to save me. I just don't want to feel alone while I'm loving them. Because the truth is… I’m not afraid of being alone. I'm afraid of giving my heart to someone and still feeling completely alone inside the relationship. And after everything I've been through, I think my heart deserves something different. Something honest. Something peaceful. Something that doesn't leave me questioning whether I'm loved. I don't want perfect love. I just want the kind of love that makes loneliness finally feel like a thing I survived, not something I still live with. ❤️‍🩹 #dr #pichetiktokponmeenparati #Love #germany #USA
