Ima say only this, Mugetsu (moonless sky) contrasts Aizen’s kyoka suigetsu (mirror flower, water moon,) something that can be seen but not obtained or reached. Ichigo “taking the moon” out of Aizen’s sky, led to his breakdown vs kisuke, revealing his true self. There’s way more depth to this too, it’s crazy, and then some larpers r gonna come and say that bleach has no depth

What sets ichigo apart isn’t some big goal or unending courage like other shonen protagonists, it’s because he lacks that, just like we lack that as the viewer. No sane person would want to risk their life over and over again for the sake of some dumb title, however if you put their family, friends, and entire existence on the line, then that would make the normal person do something. He is a good mc not of what he is, but what he isn’t

Ichigo stood on principle frame one. But also showed how kinda and caring he was. To be able to whoop some ass, turn around and tend to a ghosts memorial sight. To LITERALLY DIVE INTO HELL AND BACK FOR HIS FAMILY… yea.. he’s fuckin HIM. 🙌

he has human goals too. he wants to have a job, get married and have kids. we saw a glimpse of it in fullbring arc when he was trying to figure out what to do after highschool. he is a real character but they chose meat lover and lazy unc who can't even sign papers.
