It’s not just about avoiding cruelty; it’s about honoring the life and purpose God gave them. God created these animals with unique roles in nature and with the ability to form relationships. They deserve our compassion and respect, not to be exploited or consumed simply because it is convenient or profitable. Acknowledging their sentience is a powerful reminder that we share this world with living beings who feel, think, and suffer just as we do.
