Fuck ALS. Lost my mom to it 2 weeks after diagnosis and now I’m a potential carrier. NOBODY understands what it’s like unless you are a care giver or have it. There are no good answers as we still await a cure. I’m so sorry.

My dad was diagnosed in February and passed in June. It was a crazy experience, but you’re right that there was a lot of beauty in it. I’m grateful we got the heads up it was coming, and we LIVED those four months. I hope I see some answers in my lifetime, even just an explanation of why this happens.
