@gabbettfamilytravels: Orcas Island is part of the San Juan Islands and a MUST visit for families! Here’s exactly how we did it: ⛴️ Ferry from Anacortes (~1 hr) — we brought our car, and heads up: car reservations and ferry tickets are booked SEPARATELY, so grab both early 🏨 Stayed at Rosario Resort (gorgeous, right by the whale watching dock) — but next time we’d base in Eastsound instead. Rosario meant a lot of back-and-forth driving to food and activities (it’s only 10 min from eastsound, not a huge deal) Our favorites: 🥞 Breakfast — Olga Rising 🥪 Lunch — Lone Pine Larder 🏔️ Views — Mount Constitution 🐳 Tour - Outer Island Excursions We kept it slow — playgrounds, wandering, no rushing. The whale watching miss? Yeah, we didn’t see an Orca!! But we did see a humpback whale and lots of other wildlife.
