I mean Thor, Wonder Woman, Green Lateran, Black Panther, Wolverine, A lot of anime’s are based in Japan because said creators are from Japan same thing applies to marvel. I just named a few who have stories not based in America, just how the same can be said for anime

Nico-106 :
This same logic could be applied to Godzilla movies where he just attacks Japan and if there’s aliens in the movie Japan is always the one who takes them down

also it's really annoying to read cause there's so many continuations that are all so vastly different, like I could talk about superman, and you might think of a COMPLETELY different continuation than I am, with different strength, personalities, world building, villains and to me that's just insane, I can't say I'm a fan of a character if I only read or like 1 or a handful of their continuities

I am sorry this is so wrong 90% of anime take place in Japan. The only anime with good world building is one piece, hunter and maybe Naruto. Or it’s just fantasy isskai slop. Even then they still won’t get to marvel level often times marvel and dc get criticized for having too much world building.

at least dc have multiple cities for their heros with different identities..marvel is even wors like every single hero out there is from new york and every single major event it's just nyc getting destroyed
