JENNIE has already proven time and time again that she can sing live and sound GOOD doing it! She did a great job overall during both the soundcheck and the actual performance. Sure, there may have been a few vocal imperfections or moments where she sounded a little hesitant, but that doesn’t invalidate the overall performance or erase her proven live vocal abilities. Some fancams capture an artist’s vocal quality better than others, and honestly, I feel like this might be one of those performances you had to experience in person to fully appreciate. Phone and microphone quality, recording angles, positioning, and audio mixing can all affect how vocals come across. Sometimes professional recordings capture the sound better, sometimes fancams do, and sometimes neither does the live experience justice. We’ve also seen livestream audio mixes cause issues that affect how an artist’s vocals come across. At the end of the day, JENNIE sounded good overall here, both during soundcheck and the actual performance, just as she has in plenty of other live performances. A few imperfect moments don’t negate an otherwise good performance, and one recording certainly shouldn’t define her abilities as a live singer. ❤️
