@googoogonzalezshopfinds: The cause of someone’s death doesn’t erase the historical circumstances that led to it… So, why does that logic change depending on whose history we’re discussing? #googoogonzalez #americanhistory #indigenous #nativeamerican #america
Restricting access to food, freedom of movement, language and medical treatment are in fact the PRIMARY TOOLS of Genocide. Outright murder is often quite far down the list. Thats just what it takes for others to finally say its wrong.

it was always a Genocide to the Indigenous Populations of the Americas as we all know. As a Jew I see many parallels to how America acted to Indigenous Populations and how Europe acted to the Jewish Population, My family is from Syria and the Caucus Mountain range while we never entered into Europe I see the Forced Ghettos the Trail of Tears its all out of the same playbook of evil and anyone who denies the Evils America has done is not only a bystander but a cog in the hate thats been exported to all areas of the world since it origins.

Honestly the education surrounding the genocide of indigenous peoples needs massive improvement. I don’t think many people actually conceptualize genocide on the scale of what happened in the Americas. Two entire continents forced to the brink of extinction. Full on apocalypse where the reality of hundreds of millions of people were changed forever. And it wasn’t one genocide, it was hundreds of them committed against thousands of tribes by every last country or empire to lay foot here. The industrialized genocide of the Jews was awful, but we need to look at the genocide of an entire hemisphere as it helped inspire the Nazis anyway.

you know how they always say that natives died from white folk disease? it's odd that people don't point out that was a 2 way street. both parties had diseases the other wasn't used to.
