If trump isn’t impressed and is even a little irked about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, then Norway’s committee is clearly doing its job. In my view, there’s no global figure less suited to that honour than trump, and the committee’s decision reflects exactly that. In Pillay's own words: “Peace isn’t a branding exercise — it’s hard, principled work.” The committee explicitly framed her award as a message to those undermining international law — emphasizing that "peace requires justice, not power politics".
