@wuyunyuanzhi: Still as the deep. Fierce as the storm. Gone like the wind. 蓄势如渊,发力如虹,收势如风。

How Gregory, Peller and friends vibed @₱ɆⱠⱠɆⱤ #peller
"I'm going to say something unpopular tonight. In 17 years, I've watched the visits stop." "The first month, families come every Sunday. They bring flowers and fix the room up. Then it gets busy." "The residents don't forget what day it is. They know when Sunday comes." "I'm not judging anybody. But busy and forgotten feel the same from inside that room." "If you can't come, call. Five minutes counts." After 17 years, I'll say it: the visits stop. Not all at once. Slowly. Sunday becomes holidays. Holidays become a birthday call. And they still get dressed and wait. I've helped residents put on their good blouse and fix their hair "just in case." I've watched them choose the chair with a view of the parking lot. I've answered the same question over and over, gently: "Did anybody call for me?" I'm not writing this to shame anyone. I know caregivers are tired, families are stretched, and some of you are carrying old wounds. That's real too. But if there's someone you've been meaning to visit, this is your sign. Call. Send a card. Five minutes on the phone can carry somebody through a whole week. The door they're watching is yours. 🤍 #HealingForCaregivers #FollowMeAcrossTheBridge #AssistedLiving #ElderCare #FamilyCaregiver
