A Galapagos tortoise that doesn’t like being woken up😂 The Galápagos giant tortoise is one of the largest and longest-living tortoises in the world. It can weigh over 250 kg and grow up to about 1.5 meters in length. One of its most remarkable features is its lifespan—many individuals live over 100 years, and some have been recorded reaching 150 years or more. These tortoises are native only to the Galápagos Islands. Each island has slightly different types of tortoises, with variations in shell shape and size depending on their environment. They are herbivores and feed on grasses, leaves, fruits, and cactus. Despite their large size, they move very slowly, but they can travel long distances in search of food and water. Galápagos tortoises play a crucial role in their ecosystem by spreading seeds through their droppings, helping plants grow across the islands. Due to human activity and introduced species, their population declined in the past, but conservation efforts have helped increase their numbers again. #viraltiktok #nature #fypシ゚ #turtle #animals
