You also never truly get the same person back. They may be physically the same, but emotionally, after everything, they are not at all the same person they were when you first met. So it is never the same. Especially as the time goes on, you experience other things and mature in different ways. Or some don’t mature, and you end up feeling the incompatibility. Like you outgrew them.
