Reminds me of my ex, who lied and did whatever he could to keep me. And I believed him. Until i realised he is an empty vessel and nothing like he pretended to be the entire time I’ve known him. What a shame.

I was there for 4,5 years. The breadcrumbs felt like a whole relationship, yet 98% was in my head. I couldn’t stop fantasizing, and yet I wanted to end the whole dynamic, but the limerence object kept contacting me, which made me feel ”okay maybe this time?!”. It was extremely addictive. I have an addictive personality, so stopping nicotine, coffee and sugar was EASIER than limerence. Nothing gives that HIGH than what went on for 4,5 years, but there was such a shadow behind that, feeling extremely isolated and lonely because I couldn’t connect with anyone else. The self esteem was all time low too. It was perverted and a pathetic time in my life. I finally ended it november 2023 and it’s the best addiction I had ever stopped. I can’t believe that I can look at the same man and be like ”yuck, his behavior suck”.
