@thecharlestonchapter: Not your average walk on Folly Beach This colorful old paved road winds through Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve at the far end of Folly Beach, leading to a beautiful view of the historic Morris Island Lighthouse. The lighthouse was completed in 1876 and originally stood on dry land! Over time, coastal erosion changed the shoreline so dramatically that the lighthouse now stands surrounded by water.
