Without immediate medical attention it will lead to death extremely fast. I’d been dealing with acidic blood for 1-2 days prior to being rushed into hospital 🏥 .. meaning when I arrived at the hospital I wasn’t in a good state- , I’m luckily recovering now and my blood is no longer dangerously acidic although it may take a few weeks for me to recovery ‘fully’ ‘Tomorrow isn’t promised so take every chance you have, don’t wait until tomorrow you may regret it or may never be able to take that chance again’ Not many people take type 1 diabetes seriously- It has the power to kill and it’ll kill fast!! Regardless of age, weight, sex, race, or gender! Type 1 diabetes isn’t a punchline- it isn’t a fat joke- it’s your loved one lying in a hospital bed in a critical condition fighting for their lives …unsure if they’re going to pull through ‼️ I was diagnosed type 1 diabetic at the age of 10 years old, at the age of 10 my WHOLE life changed, my childhood was basically over; again on diagnosis i was in a very critical condition, so skinny and weak I couldn’t even stand up…. Recognising the symptoms of type 1 diabetes or DKA can simply saves lives‼️ Type 1 Diabetes is not just testing your blood glucose and injecting insulin. It is a 24/7 disease and no it’s not contagious 😷! The immune system attacks insulin producing beta cells, which in turn causes the pancreas to no long produce insulin - the trigger isn’t entirely known yet. Insulin is a hormone that breaks down glucose into energy and without it you simply cannot survive. That means no matter what time of day or night it is I am facing an unpredictable battle against my own body. Imagine trying to manage a disease where 42+ things can affect your management….including the weather!!
