@parkplacereno: Turns out designing a bedroom around the athletic ability of a young boy was a mistake 😂 When we created my son’s mezzanine, the idea was that he’d climb up using the climbing wall and come down via the slide. VERY cool in theory… until I realised that every time I needed to change his bedding, tidy up or retrieve one of the 4,762 toys he’d taken up there, I had to climb the wall too. 🫠 So… Mummy has officially retired from rock climbing and IKEA has come to the rescue 😂 I’ve added this little unit to create steps up to the mezzanine and honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. Not quite as exciting as a climbing wall… but my knees are extremely grateful. 😂 Would you have thought of this when designing a mezzanine?! kids bedroom ideas, mezzanine bedroom, IKEA hack, IKEA storage hack, boys bedroom ideas, kids room inspiration, climbing wall bedroom, clever storage ideas, family home renovation, Cotswolds renovation, period home renovation, DIY home ideas, kids bedroom design, mezzanine bed ideas #IkeaHack #KidsBedroomIdeas #BoysBedroom #KidsRoomInspo #MezzanineBed
