Yep. Absolutely true 100%. Don’t care if they’re gay or not a woman keeps a guy friend so she has a back up plan. It’s OK for her to have a guy friend just as it’s OK for a guy to have a female friend. But then that person has to do double the work to make sure they love interest is not threatened by it. I personally think it’s an insecurity measure when a male or female keeps a member of the opposite sex and says they are just a friend.
