@grandpasellscars: 📻 It’s 1985… Saturday morning, and the radio is playing American Top 40! 🎶 🎙️ Casey Kasem-inspired introduction: From Hollywood Our next song became unforgettable thanks to a movie about five teenagers spending a Saturday in detention. 📻 Who remembers listening to Casey Kasem every weekend? #C#CaseyKasemA#AmericanTop40S#SimpleMindsT#TheBreakfastClub1#1985

It defined a generation. We had the best music movies we had it all and we don’t brag about it we just smirk and move along. Gen X love you all

Doug-1964 Log Hauler (530) :

We used to listen to music and dream about how great our future would be. Now we listen to the music to remember how great our pass was!

FatGuyinaTruck :

there is one long distance dedication that I will remember to the end of the Earth: a teenage girl who wrote in and talked about how she had a really good friend she grew up with who was hit by a car and died, and the dedication was "When I See you smile" every time I hear that song, I think about that story. and it's been probably 30 years since that dedication aired
