@theinterview_nyt: Mirjana Spoljaric travels to active war zones — Gaza, Ukraine, Iran — to do confidential, sensitive work during conflicts. In a rare conversation on “The Interview,” she is speaking out about her worries. Spoljaric is the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, which works all around the globe and often in secret. Unlike the American Red Cross, which deals with blood drives and U.S. disaster relief, the ICRC is the independent and neutral guardian of the Geneva Conventions, a series of international agreements created in the wake of World War II that laid out the rules of war. With global leaders increasingly ignoring those rules, and wars getting more complex due to new technology, Spoljaric offers a warning about where the world could be headed. You can find her full conversation with Lulu Garcia-Navarro at the link in our bio. Video by The New York Times #icrc #war #theinterview
