@celestiamuse: Even though I have a very hands on husband who shares the parenting load equally with me, parenting on full steam without a village has left us ragged after 20months of broken sleep and raising an active toddler. As someone who’s no stranger to fitness and good nutrition, motherhood came as a shock and was deeply humbling when I found myself struggling to even fulfil the “basics” of a healthy lifestyle consistently. It took a long time before my child stabilized enough for me to find time to workout more frequently again. As a mother, I started to notice a lot of ignorance and lack of empathy surrounding postpartum women, their bodies and their struggle with fitness and proper nutrition. It was especially apparent for those who were doing parenthood without a village. There’s no clocking out, no breaks, no sleep, no food sometimes. If you’re in the fitness industry and you felt deeply offended by my post, perhaps you should think about whether you’ve been guilty of such judgemental thoughts with no context whatsoever to what a mother of young children have to deal with on an everyday basis, and how you can approach a mother’s postpartum fitness and nutrition differently in future. Mothers and trainers who specialize in postpartum recovery, what are some of the ignorant or judgemental remarks you’ve encountered in the course of your life/career? How has motherhood changed your perception of postpartum fitness & recovery?

But lol same.. i dont have the time to work out or work in my diet. Cause i need to plan my childs daily routine and meals not to mention sleep dept and work stress. Theres so many things to do and its so mentally exhausting to even think about ourselves. Its been 1.5 years and most of my post partum weight didnt go away. I gained 20+kg btw. 😣😣😣 help
