3 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU FEEL STUCK AS A YOUTH IN GHANA 🇬🇭🔥 Sometimes you’re not lazy. Sometimes you’re not unserious. You simply don’t know what your next move should be. You’ve finished school but don’t know what to do next. You’ve applied for jobs with no response. Your business isn’t moving. You’re watching friends travel, marry, earn money and seemingly progress while you feel like your own life has stopped. When you feel stuck, try these 3 things: 1. STOP TRYING TO SOLVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE AT ONCE. You don’t need to know exactly where you’ll be in ten years. Ask a smaller question: “What is one useful thing I can do in the next 30 days?” Learn Excel. Improve your CV. Take an online course. Start posting your work. Speak to someone in your industry. Research that business idea. Apply for five opportunities. Movement creates information. Sometimes clarity comes after you start moving. 2. BUILD A SKILL SOMEBODY CAN USE. When opportunities are limited, one of your strongest assets is your ability to become more useful. Ask yourself: “What can I learn that somebody will eventually pay me to do?” Digital marketing. Graphic design. Sales. Hairdressing. Welding. Coding. Photography. Bookkeeping. Video editing. Catering. AI skills. Plumbing. Customer service. Don’t collect certificates just to feel productive. BUILD COMPETENCE. Something you can actually demonstrate, practise, improve and eventually exchange for value. 3. CHANGE YOUR ENVIRONMENT, EVEN IF YOU CAN’T CHANGE YOUR LOCATION. You may not be able to leave Kumasi, Accra, Tamale, Takoradi or your hometown tomorrow. But you can change what enters your mind every day. Follow people who teach. Join communities where opportunities are shared. Attend events. Find mentors. Read. Use your phone to learn instead of spending the whole day watching other people live. Your environment is not only where you live. It is also what you repeatedly watch, hear, discuss and believe. Feeling stuck doesn’t mean your life is finished. DON’T WAIT FOR YOUR WHOLE PATH TO APPEAR. Find the next step. Take it. Learn from it. Then take another. Sometimes you don’t need another motivational speech. YOU NEED MOVEMENT. 🇬🇭🔥 #MindShift360 #GhanaYouth #FeelingStuck #CareerGrowth #LearnASkill
