let's rewind a little. 🤍 Before the white uniform, before the induction pictures, before the title and everything that comes with it, there was a little girl who didn't even know how her story would unfold. In 2020, I wrote JAMB and didn't get admission. I stayed home for another year, tried again, applied to Al-Hikmah, and still, nothing. I was almost ready to give up when, within just a few days, my flight was booked, and I found myself in Abeokuta, far away from the Kaduna I had always known. Scared, overwhelmed, and completely unprepared for what lay ahead. Little did I know that this unfamiliar place would become home for five years. It would give me beautiful friendships, the best roommate I could have asked for, unforgettable memories, and lessons that went far beyond the classroom. Of course, it wasn't all rosy. The countless exams, professional examinations, clinical postings, result anxiety, sleepless nights, tears, self-doubt, and prayers whispered when I felt I couldn't go on. There were moments I questioned myself, moments I almost gave up, and moments when people believed in me more than I believed in myself. I had expectations for myself, and things didn't unfold exactly as I imagined. But I know how hard I worked. I know what it took to get here, even when nobody saw the battles behind the scenes. And today, all I can say is Alhamdulillah. For the delays, the detours, the lessons, the people, the growth, and the grace that carried me through it all. From the girl who waited for admission to the woman standing here today, what a journey it has been. 🥹🤍 This is more than an induction. This is a celebration of growth, resilience, answered prayers, and becoming. Reintroducing NURSE Fatima Zahrah Mohammed
