Telling my child “that’s not a priority” when she needs something isn’t what I really want my child to grow up hearing. I would rather tell her we can’t afford it than letting her know that her needs/wants are not our priority. It’s our priority but the finances cannot allow us! Well that’s me anyway

Let me correct you........raise your children knowing what they can afford and what they can't afford......let it push them to work harder so that they can be able to afford whatever it is without checking prices....it will be a testimony to them. if you don't have enough, it is important for you to let your children know. Be realistic..... don't raise children with lies...... don't promise what you won't fulfill......if you won't give it, tell them with love but don't lie to them

if I cant afford it I cant afford it thats it and I will tell them the truth , im not teaching my kids not to ask cause they will feel they are not a priority and so far this has worked for us ,coz they understand , its ok to tell ir kids the truth rather then telling them things that will affect them mentally like you are not the priority

sometimes u have to be realistic.....has a child ever asked u for something 20 times , he asks u today and u say it's not a priority he accepts and waits patiently and asks for it after 2 months and does it for a year.....some of u have no children and u just talk about subjects u don't know.....a child is asking a parent a toy of 1m and the parent earns 500k per month. such a toy will never b a priority to such a parent he or she just have to be real to the child
