one of the main reasons genshin blew up like it did because it was so accessible. phones and laptops were significantly weaker in 2020 and not everybody has a pc. it was for optimisation purposes

I feel like it should’ve been an options like the tsaritsa’s coat, on low graphics its solid fur but on higher graphics there’s way more detail.. we could enjoy high quality models but still have optimisation on lower end devices 💔

Yeah but to fully implement it we had to sacrifice ps players, basically what was holding the game back from having this kind of graphics

well dude if you think about it, if they made genshin characters like that then mobile players which were the majority of genshina fanbase back then wouldn't have been able to play as the game would have lagged a shi ton
