Ep. 7 — I could tell that Namgung also struggles with anxiety and depression, but you know the difference between him and Mido? He’s still trying, and he chooses not to hurt Mido in the process.
Mido, on the other hand, is manipulative. She uses her anxiety to guilt-trip Namgung, even though her struggles are partly caused by her own inability to face and admit that she’s struggling with her career. Instead, she makes it seem like Namgung is the problem because she thinks he’ll be disappointed if he finds out the truth. She keeps playing the victim, even when it comes to cheating.
Yes, she got drunk, but don’t tell me she was still too drunk to know what was happening after sleeping and waking up, only to let another man kiss her twice—and even close her eyes to enjoy it. Then she sneaks out in the middle of the night, leaves her boyfriend sleeping alone just to see the lawyer, finds him cute, and even drives him home. And now, she’s confessing to another man?
At this point, how many times are people going to excuse her actions just because she’s struggling mentally? Having anxiety or depression deserves compassion, but it doesn’t automatically excuse hurting your partner or refusing to take responsibility for your choices.
