my orthodontist “prescribed” ice cream after every appointment so my grandma would take me to either get a smoothie from jamba juice or frozen yogurt after every appointment 🤣 my mom would also make sure i had my fav ben and jerrys waiting for me

10 years after I got my braces I finally know why my gums hurt that bad after getting them and why they got so red I actually lost some skin on the outside of my mouth. I'm allergic to nickel. Would have loved to know the material sooner....

This should be more common knowledge because I’m allergic to nickel…. I had to get them changed to a different wire after a few days because I had a bad reaction.

What causes one tooth ( that is not even the one with an issue) to be extremely sensitive to cold air, cold drinks, but NOT hot things? I experience sharp pain whenever I take something cold or even when , and it gets worse with air exposure. Has anyone experienced this, after an adjustment and adding buccal tubes and what could be the cause?

May sound dumb asking this but whenever I get my braces tighten I have the opposite effect, cold stuff hurts a lot meanwhile hot stuff always helps is there a reason for that? 🥲
