I saw quite a few monarchs last week in the beautiful Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.....there might be a few stragglers when I go to a milkweek field tomorrow; we'll see!

Great information, thank you. I have seen some this summer but not many despite the increase in milkweed here. And wildflowers.

I saw none in 2024, 1 in 2025, and 10 to 15 in upstate NY near the Canadian border.

It has been, perhaps 5-7 years since I’ve seen a very visible monarch migration here in my neck of the woods. I live in the western part of Massachusetts and I remember watching them travel south with my son who was still wearing diapers. He’s now a school age kid and I have to say our butterfly population has gone down markedly. We have a lot of flowers, especially milkweed. I sure hope they return next season

We’ve seen around 6 here in North Texas Montague County. I’m hoping to see more as the days come. My butterfly bushes aren’t blooming much, salvia is ok. I wasn’t able to get the milkweed from seed to do anything for me. I’ll keep trying.

I cutback my Butterfly bush last year and this year we had visitors again. I always look for them and the hummingbirds. They always stop by

They were very busy here about a week or so ago, but haven't seen much activity this week. Definitely more activity throughout this year than last. I will never not be enamored with the journey of the monarchs. 🦋

Always interested in the monarch updates. This is great news…I don’t ever see many in my region…but I’m not in the main path for the them this time of year. Just saw one the other day though.😊

Thank you for sharing this for younger generations!! Monarchs are phenomenal! I’ve watched and fed them for years. About 20 years ago (for my 50th birthday) I gave milkweed seeds to friends to help build spring food source. Many have continued planting! Keep educating!! Thank you!!
