A 70B model at 4-bit quantization wants roughly 40GB of VRAM. An RTX 4090 has 24. So "runs locally" quietly means a second GPU, an A6000, or a 64GB Mac. And the free tiers propping up the edges have teeth — Vercel's Hobby plan bars commercial use outright, and Supabase pauses your project after a week of inactivity. YOU OWN THE STACK.
