@miranda.kay.johnson: 🚨 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗨𝗦𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗 — 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗗? Y’all, this case out of Northlake, Texas, has left me with so many questions. On October 6, 2026, Holly Leeann Flores, 37, was arrested after police say she stabbed her husband, Justin Hommel, their 3-year-old daughter, and their 10-month-old son. 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗗. 🤍 But what investigators say happened HOURS before the attack is raising serious questions. ‼️ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗞 According to the arrest affidavit, Justin had been sleeping on the couch because he was concerned about changes in Holly’s behavior. Around 1–2 a.m., he reportedly heard a lighter and went to investigate. He found Holly in the children’s bedroom lighting a candle. 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗔𝗟𝗦𝗢 𝗔 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗞𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗥. Justin said the knife frightened him. He questioned Holly, an argument followed, and she reportedly shut him out of the bedroom. He returned to the couch and fell asleep. Later, Justin woke to the sound of his children crying. When he approached their bedroom, he alleged Holly opened the door holding the knife and attacked him. He suffered injuries during the struggle and reportedly managed to take the knife away. At approximately 4:20 a.m., police received a 911 call. Officers arrived and found both children suffering from stab wounds to their chests. Their father was also injured. 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗗. ‼️ 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗘𝗣? I know many people will ask this. But we don’t know everything Justin was thinking or experiencing that night. His account raises questions, but it does NOT establish that he knew an attack was coming. Questions are not accusations. ‼️ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 According to the affidavit, Justin told investigators Holly had been experiencing postpartum depression and changes in her behavior. However, postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis are NOT the same condition. 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥. I am NOT defending Holly or excusing what she is accused of doing. I’m discussing mental health because it has been mentioned in the investigation. 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗗𝗘 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦. Could mental health have played a role? Possibly. Could other factors be involved? Absolutely. But I’m not going to diagnose someone or assume a motive. 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗦. ‼️ 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗗 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford said officers had responded to the residence approximately FIVE times since March 2026, largely for welfare-related concerns. The full circumstances of those calls haven’t been publicly established. But I do wonder what concerns had previously been reported and what help the family received. ‼️ 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡 𝗡𝗢𝗪? Thankfully, according to October 8 reporting: ▪️ Both children have been released from the hospital. ▪️ Their father has also been discharged. ▪️ The children are currently in state protective custody. ‼️ 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗡𝗢𝗪? Holly was taken into custody and faces two counts of attempted capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her reported bond is $2 million. 💔 𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 As a mom, this case is heartbreaking. A 3-year-old girl and a 10-month-old baby should have been safe in their own home. I’m incredibly thankful they survived. But I still have questions about the previous police responses, what happened that night, and what investigators will uncover next. 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗡 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬, 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟. #HollyFlores #NorthlakeTexas #TexasNews #TrueCrime #BreakingNews
