Jo Lazaris was a beautiful human being who was let down by the very people meant to protect her. From minimisation of Domestic Abuse and when tasked with getting more evidence if her case was to be looked at, the perpetrator (and this wasn't his first victim) reported her for stalking and harassment as she slowly cut off his supply to new victims. Rather than look deeper into his wrongdoing, the police had charges agreed with CPS against Jo. As someone who had never put a foot wrong with the law, Jo could no longer live with the situation.
