Wrong. The staff needs to do better and if they don’t then that family member needs to share that video with the state. If a CNA can’t do their job then they need to find a different line of work.

I agree. Don’t forget about the family members that refuse to leave the room and watch you clean their family member or the ones that refuse to help you clean them while the nurse is busy. It’s too much!

I had a patient put bruises all up my arm and broke my Apple Watch cause 4 of us were trying to Change him and his wife sits on the couch not helping… just sitting there! She heard us telling him to stop hitting us and stop pinching us etc. Family won’t do a damn thing! All they do is complain while we get abused

Everyone wants to act like CNA’s job is nothing. And like you said if it’s so easy, why aren’t you doing it. It’s like it’s beneath them and yes, the job is remedial, but no one wants to do it and that’s why the people that will do it are so important.

From the comments, this seems like it might be a hot take, but I’m a nurse in a ventilator home and I disagree with this. It’s not common for people to have the resources to take care of their family members at home and give them the 24/7 care that they require. It’s not a crazy thing to ask that someone does THEIR JOB. Now when it comes to the little things, positioning a patient just perfectly or crushing meds as a CNA, the disrespect is not ok.

People would rather insult Cnas even though being a CNA is an extremely hard and demanding job, than take their own parents home and care for them.They don’t want to deal with the responsibility of caring for their parents as a burden and prefer to leave them in someone else’s care. Yet they have the nerve to disrespect the very people who take care of your love ones. Shame on you !!!! You should be ashamed of yourselfs . 😡

By law, they are not supposed to have hidden cameras in the rooms. If they do have a camera it should be a sign present stating there’s one in the room. And that’s for facilities

This! They complain and complain post all these videos about how bad the facilities are, but won’t find a way to take their loved one home. I’ve seen these places, I don’t care if I have to quit my job I’d never leave either of my parents in one of these places.

Families expecting us to be 1:1 knowing damn well we’ve got 42 other residents on this unit to look after as well, LUCKY if we got another 1-2 aides with us. Like y’all. We’re trying our best, but I can’t be in fiftyleven places at once.
