@wimperisembroidery: Satin stitch might be my favourite embroidery stitch, so don't forget to bookmark this! But here's my secret 7th tip. You need to rotate your hoop. It's much easier to bring your needle up out at the bottom of the whatever shape you're working on, because then you can see exactly where you need to put your needle down.
