@ekwtalks: 9 people dead in Erie, PA… and the city says every death happened before police even got there 💔🚨 According to Erie News Now, it started around 5 p.m. Friday on Perry Street on Erie's east side, when witnesses saw a man firing a gun outside before going into a home. Two women were found dead outside. After SWAT surrounded the house and got a warrant, investigators found more victims inside, including at least two children. The suspected shooter was dead too, police say, from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Erie News Now reports nine people dead, including the gunman (AP: eight victims plus the shooter). The city says no shots were fired after officers arrived; the bangs people heard were police flash-bangs. Police Chief Rick Lorah: "This is one of the most difficult and heartbreaking scenes our officers and investigators have ever encountered." No names, no motive, and officials haven't said whether the gunman knew the victims. The city's press conference is Saturday at 4 PM ET (3 PM CT).
