One of my bridesmaids broke up with her boyfriend of 9 years the week before my wedding. She didn't tell me until a week or two after the wedding was over. I felt so bad that she felt like she had to hide it, but I also appreciated that she didn't want to steal away from my day. Being a friend is a choice, loving your people is a choice, and choosing your big feelings over someone else's milestones is also a choice. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that!

My husband’s cousin rsvp’d yes, then decided to go to a Halloween party instead of our wedding and never apologized. That was 10 years ago and I still haven’t forgiven her bc she only cares about people if she can use them.

I blocked 98% of my mother’s family once the RSVP deadline was done. They all aren’t coming and wouldn’t even take the seconds to RSVP no because my 40 year old sister wasn’t given a plus for her boyfriend we have literally never met. 💀

Friend breakups are SO hard. I had a similar experience with a former bff before her wedding, except that she had some very weird behavior & incidents that lead to me ending the friendship. It was awful.

Her resentment is her issue. It is not you! Spend more time listening to your friends and less time listening to the thoughts her immaturity makes you think.
