Funny enough, if you say your hand is blue and the doctor also see that your hand is blue but the blue-hand test is not conclusive (or, even worse, “normal”) despite it being a very obviously blue hand, they’ll gaslight you and themselves that your hand never actually was blue at all.

I've had doctors say this to me, that my pain is psychosomatic. Turns out the surgeon damaged nerves during my spinal surgery. So when doctors talk to me about there is no evidence and the scans have come back normal. I suggest that just because their medical knowledge has failed them, they need to speak to other professionals and come back to me with 3 alternate solutions. I will not be gaslit and told that I'm the problem, their ability to solve the problem is the issue

I remember the doctor fron the er who laughed about how "it was normal" and there was "nothing wrong with me" blasting out of the parking lot in his fancy red car as I was having a massive flare up. I didn't know what it was and went for help for severe pain. They treated me like a drug addict.

Yeah my “anxiety” ended up being dysautonomia , MCAS, brain lesions, & a hyperkinetic gallbladder. 😅 oh & also anxiety. It’s almost like both can coexist at the same time.

For me… it was an autoimmune disease called Sjögren’s. YEARS of symptoms and got a diagnosis at age 43. Gaslit and brushed off for YEARS.

I severely tore my vocal cord from coughing during covid pandemic . I never said I had covid to a dr. i was coughing, in pain and could not breathe properly like I was getting way too much air. He put it in my chart that has mental health problems. 2 1/2 yrs later and the pulmonologist threaten me that he will not refer me to ear nose and throat specialist unless i see mental health. So I go and tell mental health what these dr said. They were pissed and i got the endoscopy to prove it. Took the report to the hospital spoke with the president of hospital and that dr got fired because i also show that said dr was doing it to other women in our community!!!!

when I was 12, my appendix burst. 2 doctors told my mother and I that I just had stomach flu and children's Tylenol would help it go away. both my mom and dad were at my 3rd doctors appointment and that doctor did a blood test and saw that my white blood cells were 3x higher than they were supposed to be, and the CT scan revealed that my appendix was ruptured. my parents then had to take me to a St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, because the Dean Clinic couldn't take me in. I was in the hospital for 5 days with antibiotics and then I had to take 6 weeks of antibiotics to be healthy enough to have surgery to remove what was left of my appendix. the 2 doctors that said I had stomach flu were fired for medical malpractice.
