@jonblackstoneofficial: Ringo takes us on a tour of the Cavern Club in Liverpool. The original Cavern opened on January 16th, 1957 in a former WWII air-raid shelter and fruit warehouse cellar. It began as a jazz club but quickly shifted toward rock, skiffle, and Merseybeat. The Beatles performed there 292 times between 1961 and 1963. In 1973, British Rail acquired the site for an underground railway. The original club closed May 1973, and was demolished. In 1984 a new club was built nearby incorporating bricks from the original site and reusing a large portion of the original footprint. #thebeatles #music #song #livemusic #musicvideo

I was just there in June. They had a really good band playing. I went there for two nights and it was a great time. But he’s right when you get a lot of people in there it’s pretty darn sweaty.
