@alice.tumas: A puppy and kitten… poem Two lonely paths in winter cold, Two little stories untold. A pup with floppy, shivering ears, A tiny kitten.. lonely street They met beneath a rusted car, Beneath a single, distant star. The puppy barked a gentle greet, The kitten rubbed against his feet. They curled together, soft and tight, To brave the freezing, scary night. No longer lost, no longer sad, They shared the only warmth they had. A kindly man then walked around, And looked down at the frozen ground. He smiled to see the sleepy pair, And lifted them with tender care. Now both by the fireplace they rest, Each thinking that their life is best. A bowl of milk, a squeaky toy, A house filled up with love and joy. The greatest luck they ever found, Together safe, together bound.
