If this is truly where XRP is attempting to go, they did just approve batch transactions on the XRPL. So now those 30-40 TPS can have between 6-10 transactions batched on one block. So these are old number and assumptions. It’s looking more and more like the XRPL is evolving to become the global bridge asset it was designed to be.

No it won't. Bank transfers across borders will be tokenised on the bank's own blockchain. And according to the Clarity Act exchanges & token issuers will be able to stop private transfers from your wallet to a wallet in another person's name.
