@2022dirt: DIRT documents [# 47] Most people go about their daily lives without paying much attention to the way trash is thrown away in public spaces. Occasionally you’ll come across a trash can that is already full but somehow continues to collect more garbage. What’s interesting is how people manage to stack their trash on top of everything else. Cups are balanced on bottles and food containers are carefully placed wherever there’s room. Sometimes the pile becomes so tall that it almost looks intentional. There is something funny about how this can turn into an unspoken challenge. Instead of finding another trash can, people continue adding to the pile and somehow manage to keep everything balanced. It almost feels like a hidden minigame that everyone participates in without realizing it. Eventually someone has to clean up everything that has accumulated. But until then, these overflowing trash cans become strange little structures built by complete strangers who all decided there was room for one more thing. #trashtalk #trashcan #stacking #trashtocash #interestingthing
