@mkoatmeal: Days 290/291 - October 2025 - Eskişehir: Rain passed us over head in the night which meant a cool morning with some wet roads but that’s pretty nice. Big climbs again with a major descent. We’ve become accustomed to the cangal dogs guarding flocks of sheep - had a few scares today. So nice to see trees at the slightly higher elevations and mini passes between towns. Loving the fall foliage too. Im honestly pretty excited to be cycling during November and December. Just need to upgrade my sleeping bag and a few other things in Istanbul. Great sleep last night and a frigid morning. Treated to 14km of gravel parallel to the train 🚆 line. Then what we thought would be a chill local road into Eskişehir was actually shoulder-less, busy, and bumpy. Knocked down an energy drink and toughed it out. Made it to a Warmshowers host where we’ll chill for a day. #traveltiktok #turkey #turkish #travel #poland @ZakJackPT

It is criminal. Criminally negligent that we do not have high speed rail. It's not new or exclusive technology by any means and we simply do not have it because other businesses like the auto industry and airlines would loose out on profits.
