It’s not that I’m angry at your post or anything, but I think we should be careful about normalizing jokes like, “Baka malusaw ka pag pumunta ka mag-simba,” just for the sake of being funny. Kahit sabihin nating joke lang ’yan, those words can still stick in their minds. Kahit sabihin n’yong KJ ako or OA, the fact is, ganito talaga tayo ngayon as young people. Mas madaling tumatak sa isip natin yung mga nakakatawang bagay, and sometimes, we end up applying them in real life without even realizing their impact. Eventually, these jokes might become one of the reasons why young Catholics and Christians lose interest in attending Mass. Instead of making jokes like that, why don’t we encourage them to learn more about our faith, doctrines, and Church history? Let’s help them understand the beauty and meaning of our faith rather than make them feel mocked or judged. Our goal should be to bring them closer to God, not push them further away.
