Ladies, how many fucking Mondays are we going to start over before we realize the problem might actually be the PLAN? If you’re in your 30s or 40s and you’re trying to lose fat, build muscle, feel sexy in your clothes again, and actually recognize the woman looking back at you in the mirror, READ THIS. You do NOT need another extreme diet. You do NOT need to spend 2 hours in the gym. You do NOT need to give up pasta, wine, brunch with your girlfriends, or Sunday football. And you sure as hell don’t need to punish yourself for not having the same body you had at 25. You need a plan that works with the life you ACTUALLY live. One that accounts for your job, your kids, your responsibilities, your social life, and the fact that sometimes you’re just fucking exhausted. Start with strength training 3–4 days a week. Prioritize protein and a reasonable calorie deficit. Get your steps in. Learn how to enjoy the foods you love without turning one meal into an entire weekend of “screw it, I’ll start Monday.” And most importantly, give yourself enough time to actually see what consistency can do. I lost 30 pounds and have maintained that loss for 7 years. Not because I stopped enjoying life, but because I learned how to make fitness PART of my life instead of my entire life. You don’t have to give up your life to live a healthy life. That’s the entire fucking point. If you’re a woman in your 30s or 40s who’s tired of starting over, follow @ala_fitness_ We’re doing fat loss, strength training, and confidence differently over here
