This is such a terrible take, if you have kids you’ll be working forever. The system wants us trapped, yeah. But having kids is how they control us - because you have dependents.

when I said we can't afford a child my farther in law said this it stuck with me "you'll never have enough but you will always find a way" 3 beautiful girls later he was so right all grown up best decision ever

I think it’s more about the state of the world people are choosing not to have kids. I’ve got kids but can’t help but feel guilty about the state of the world and can’t imagine what it will be like 2030 onwards

We've got a child. Had to pay for IVF. We work and struggle. No expensive holidays. Paid for our cars before we had a child. The government is just screwing us over. We can't afford much more than just the basics. It's shocking!
