Korra is better written than aang. Aang character was centered around the physical aspects of being the avatar. Korra trials and struggles was rooted in the mental aspects of being the avatar. All while her journey was 10x harder than what aang face in the og series.

The original didn’t have all this gender politics and same sex marriage stuff being pushed into the story, and even the jokes were straight-up with no feelings to protect. 😂 The Last Airbender was epic because Aang was allowed to be Aang, and the story focused on the characters, their growth, the humour and the adventure. That’s why it’s going to be so hard to bring that magic back. You can recreate the characters and the world, but capturing the same spirit that made the original so special is a completely different challenge.
