Let your eldest take a friend, that would make the holiday feel more grown up for him xx

I don't know if this is feasible but when my son got to that 14 / 15 years old age, we used to take one of his friends along for him. xx

I know that feeling, mine are 8 and 14. So far my eldest still enjoys a caravan holiday. But I dunno for how long, his very much a theme park boy though at heart

I’m 36 and still love a haven holiday (I don’t have children yet). It’s not about all the activities it’s about quality time together and making memories!

We do Butlins every year around Christmas. This year is the first year my 16 year old won’t be coming with us. It makes me so sad that she’s not coming but I get that it’s just not enjoyable for her at that age. My 14 year old is bringing a friend and we go with my sister so my 5 year old has his cousins. Age gaps are really apparent now x

Me and my sister have a 5 year age gap, I’m 20 and I’ve only just decided to not go on one of our family holidays. Try find holidays where they have a teens club, or even invite one of their friends each to keep them both occupied, that way you get the best of all worlds!

I think it’s hard as you don’t know how they will be when they get older. It maybe more of a see what happens and try adapt where you can. I’m 25 now and currently in Santorini with both my parents. We got another holiday together in Jan too and they won’t be getting rid of me yet (I’m 1 of 3) 🤣♥️

Try going to a holiday park in an area where you can do both, go to the entertainment one night, go out into the surrounding area the next night? I’ve got the same age gap and it is tough good luck

Take a teen friend. Alternative is somewhere like Crieff Hydro (I know thats far from you…. U can see the offering if u google so maybe something similar close by). Kids club/onsite cinema/age range specific activities…. Or Disney 🤷♀️🤣🤩

There is the same age gap between me and brother. It’s not about the age gap, it’s about spending time together and making the memories, maybe try taking one of your eldest boys friends with you and let them do their own thing. While you can give your youngest one on one time. Trust me in a few years heaven holiday will all they fall about.. me and brother day, they was the best holidays ❤️

Good for the soul :
Your oldest will be old enough to have a bit more independence and entertain himself. Once they get to 15 or 16 they want to start breaking away anyway.

I only have 1 but he’s 15 and I find it really hard to find things for us to all do together the normal days out we did when he was younger are all gone. He didn’t even come pumpkin picking last year me and my husband went alone [Tears of joy]
